Khour, 6th April: Indian Army conducted a 3 months basic course on computer literacy for underprivileged girls of border villages of Akhnoor sector. This course was conducted in Gigrial Panchayat Bhawan and was designed specifically for girls who lack access to computer education. The aim of the course was to provide the girls with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate in today’s digital world .
Over the course of the program, the girls learned about computer hardware and software, internet browsing, email communication, and Microsoft office. They also had hands-on experience using computers, which helped to cement their learning and build their confidence.
At the end of the course, each participant received a certificate in basic computer course, certified by GOI under RASHTRIYA SARV SHIKSHA ABHIYAN (RSSA) which recognizes their hard work and dedication. The certificate will also help them in their future endeavors, whether that be in further education or in the job market.The program empowered these girls and provided them with the tools to break the cycle of poverty.

We are excited to see what they will achieve in the future.” said a high ranking officer posted in this area.
Indian Army is committed to creating opportunities for underprivileged communities and has been empowering individuals by teaching them with requisite skills. This computer course is just one example of the army’s commitment towards making a positive impact in these border villages which have been deprived of basic amenities in the past.These further shows Indian Army’s firm commitment towards women empowerment and Siksha se samriddhi motto of GOI. The army will continue to support initiatives like this and create more opportunities specially for the underprivileged people.
