Jammu: Director Shiv Kumar’s “MAHHABBHOJ” has won accolades in national and international Film Festivals in the last two years and is now running successfully on Hotstar. It is in the list of popular movies on Hotstar and is being rated 9.9 on IMDB. The mass is appreciating the content.In its successful Film Festival run it has won 18 awards and 24 Nominations across the Globe including Nomination in Kulalampur International Film festival of Sky, London Shorts and 16th International Film Festival of Dhaka. It was the only Indian Film in Word Cinema category in the prestigious FICKIN 2021. The film has also won the title of best Asian film in Toronto’s “tinff”. Rahul Bagga starrer film is produced by Nazia Sayed & Shiv Kumar of KKONTENT FACTORY. Samir Dhrolia and Sushil Gupta are the Co- Producers. It talks about the glorification of Death Feast culture in Hindu religion and the superstitious beliefs of people around it. The ensemble cast also include known faces from the industry like Ravi Gosain, Navin Prabhakar, Ramsujan Singh, Sourabh Patel, Prithvi Zutshi & Dhananjay Pandey. The film also marks the debut of Arpana Kanwar who has done a fantastic job. Director Shiv Kumar was born and raised in Jammu City but his passion for Cinema has made him shift to city of dreams Mumbai. He has worked as Creative Director earlier for a prominent production house. He has also directed and produced Music Videos and Webseries earlier under their banner KKONTENT FACTORY.Sharing the news of its release on Hotstar, he said “MAHHABBHOJ” is a Comedy thriller which teaches about “Saying Yes to our traditions and No to its glorification”. The Mrityubhoj culture was banned in 2020 by Rajasthan Govt as a lot of poor families have to suffer because with time this culture has become a show-off for some people. Poor people are being compelled at times for the grand feast. People of India should watch the film and support this noble initiative.
