Jammu, Kisan Congress leader Bharat Priye has said that the way the government is imposing new taxes on the common people, it clearly shows that the intention of the government is not to remove poverty but to remove the poor. The people of the country have already become miserable due to inflation. People do not have jobs, are wandering door to door for employment, income is not increasing and expenses are increasing at double the speed, in such a time, instead of providing relief to the people, the government is increasing their problems. Imposing property tax on city dwellers is a great injustice to the people. On the one hand, the government waives off the loans of lakhs of crores of rupees of a few industrialists and new taxes are imposed on the common man to compensate for it. This government is working only for few industrialists and it has no concern with the people. Now people are missing the Congress government. People have come to know that Congress used to work for the benefit of the people. As long as the Congress party was in power in this country and in Jammu and Kashmir, the poor man did not face any problem. Inflation was under control, employment opportunities were available but now everything has turned upside down, now the government is taxing the common man to fill the houses of industrialists.
