J&K: More than seven lakh treatments provided to domiciles of UT under ABPM-JAY and ABPM-JAY SEHAT schemes

Jammu & Kashmir, Feb 22: In Jammu and Kashmir, under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPM-JAY) and ABPM-JAY SEHAT schemes, more than seven Lakh treatments have been provided to the domiciles of the Union Territory including treatments received outside J&K using portability option and the amount of the treatment to more than 11 hundred Crores rupees.
AIR Correspondent reports that under the schemes, on average, the daily claim outgo is about two Crores rupees now. Every 10 in-patients are provided with a facilitator by the name of Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitra (PMAM) across all the empanelled healthcare facilities of J&K and there are about 425 such PMAMs working in Public Healthcare facilities. ABPM-JAY and ABPM-JAY SEHAT empowers every family of J&K with financial protection of five lakh rupees annually for meeting catastrophic health expenditure. The UT of J&K was one of the first States/UTs to universalize ABPM-JAY. Under the scheme, 2295 procedures are covered out of which some procedures are reserved for public hospitals like psychiatric & maternity procedures including Hysterectomy (Uterus removal) etc.

The Health & Medical Education department through 104 Call Centre contacted 21,145 beneficiaries during the last six months and out of which 58 per cent rated the services provided under ABPM-JAY/SEHAT as excellent, 41 per cent rated the services as good and one per cent rated the services poor. However, there is a dedicated National & UT level helpline for the beneficiaries and beneficiaries are facilitated throughout the process of treatment. General Public or prospective beneficiary patients are requested to contact State Health Agency (SHA) in case of any grievance through 104 Call Centre, QR Code Scan (available at Ayushman kiosk at all the EHCPs), Helpline No: 18002335554, 18002034138, Whatsapp Helpline No: 9906241592. Further, any misinformation about the scheme, if spread by anyone, shall be dealt with strictly.
