The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly passes historic legislation to ensure a minimum guaranteed income of Rs 1000 per month and entitlement-based social security for all citizens.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shanti Dhariwal defends the bill, stating it provides 125 days of employment guarantee annually for the unemployed in both urban and rural areas.

Old age, specially-abled, widowed, and single women will receive a minimum pension of Rs 1000 per month, with an automatic 15% annual increase.
